Balloon Launch

On August 22, we got our family and friends together to raise awareness for SMA. August was National Spinal Muscular Atrophy Awareness month, and we really wanted to do our part to raise awareness for SMA. We did a small balloon launch, and every balloon had a tag with an SMA fact attached to it. We passed out information on SMA, and we took donations for Families of SMA. We had a great turn out of family and friends and was able to raise $569 for FSMA. We were excited to be able to pass that along to help provide family support and fund research for a cure. Alexander had a great time being with family and friends, and he loved all the balloons we had there. Alexander even made the front page of our local paper. They wrote a wonderful article about Spinal Muscular Atrophy and included Alexander's story in the article. He thought it was pretty cool to see himself in the paper. Thank you so much to everyone who donated their time to come raise awareness with us, and to all of those that donated to FSMA in support of Alexander. We truly appreciate all the support we receive from family, friends, and our community.
